Europan IV

Receiving an honorable mention, this competition entry for Europan IV explored the west arc, a region of Thessaloniki caught between the older neighborhoods and defunct military and industrial areas. The long stretch of urban fabric was broken into 5 zones linked by a revitalized rail line. The rail line served as a commercial and cultural spine with evenly dispersed nodes of activity within each sector. A new culture park and intersected botanical gardens intersected this spine taking advantage of unused military barracks and vacant land. With Maurice Van Eijs and T. Woodward
